The new Andrew Reel Recycling and Buy-back Program for North America pays you
every time you return an empty HELIAX corrugated cable reel in good condition. Its that
simple.

This new effort is consistent with our worldwide initiatives to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and help save our precious environment. But we need your help to make it work.
Easy, efficient, ecologically sound and financially beneficial to your bottom line, heres how the program works:
- When your installation is complete, preserve the condition of your reels.
- Contact the nearest Recycling and Buy-Back Center using the map and information below. Remember, only Andrew HELIAX® reels listed on the Buy-Back Matrix can be returned.
- Complete a Return Authorization Form including your reel Part Numbers and Quantities. Return your reels freight pre-paid. Refer to the Buy-Back Matrix for approved reels and buy-back value.
Buy-Back Conditions
- All reels must be returned freight pre-paid
- All reel deliveries must be pre-scheduled using a Return Authorization Form.
- Non-Andrew Reels or Andrew reels not listed on the Buy Back Matrix are excluded from this program.
- Freight deliveries containing excluded reels will be refused.
- Payment will be issued for reels which are:
- Listed on the Buy-Back Matrix and
- Meet the Grading Criteria definitions for an acceptable reel.
- Reels must have all cable removed and be free of dirt and debris
- All reels must be intact, not broken down.
Building On A Heritage Of Environmental
Achievements
Our parent company, CommScope, has a long standing history in developing and executing successful environmental and
recycling initiatives. In 1988, CommScope launched its own ReelSmart® recycling
program for its broadband cable reels. Today, they recycle more
than 66,000 reels per year, saving approximately 20,000 trees annually. In honor
of these achievements, CommScope has twice won the Governors Award of
Excellence in the large business waste reduction category.
CommScope has also been an active and long-time participant in environmental
efforts. It joined more than 200 U.S. companies in pledging to rationalize
energy consumption and waste as part of the 1992 Energy Policy Act. The company
also began voluntarily reporting greenhouse gas emissions in 2002 as part of the
Global Climate Change Initiative.
